The South Carolina Association for Justice (SCAJ) is a statewide legal group with more than 1,200 members and 50 years of history. It was founded on the principles of making it easier for the people of South Carolina to find a trustworthy and knowledgeable attorney by providing additional education, training, seminars, and the like to legal professionals in the state. By improving the quality and expertise of South Carolina’s lawyers, it has in turn benefitted the average South Carolinian in a tough legal spot.
Every summer, the SCAJ hosts its Annual Convention that brings together the sharpest legal minds in the state for three days of networking, learning, and community building. Jordan Law Center and our Greenville personal injury lawyer – Attorney William Jordan III – attended the recent 2017 convention, which was held at the Westin Resort and Spa on Hilton Head Island. As usual, the convention proved to be a great event with plenty for our attorney to see, participate in, and enjoy.
There were educational seminars that covered some of the most complicated aspects of laws, legalese, and litigation, such as e-discovery methods for trial lawyers and the framework of due process. The convention also provided a one-of-a-kind networking opportunity since so many top attorneys from South Carolina were all in one place and all participating in the same event.
Attendees were able to hear from many of the state’s prominent and influential Judges and Workers’ Compensation Commissioners. There was even a fun live band party on Friday that everyone enjoyed!
